Hi! i`m new memeber here,and i must say that this site rocks:)!
ok..i have just bought virus c indigo2 and i have this problem:
Let say, i have recorded 4tracks to my sequencer(cubase 5.1,cubase sx or
logic platinium) bass drum, bass, synth pad, and some arp leads;all
this takes polyphony 14notes(i have counted unision notes) all right...
then i started record another track (instrument - airMonix) that have
a long sustain, but when i played a note,sustain stopped right away, when
i stoped playback;note in played correctly.i try this with many other instruments; same thing;pads didnt sound correctly, they kind of stopped
suddenly:(! what`s wrong?? please somebody help me:)!

Welcome guys :)

When sequencing, you really have to watch out for the unison settings.
Especially with pads and anything with long decay and releases. If you guys use unison to detune sounds, use phasers and chorus instead.

If you use cords (for example with pads) you have to count one voice per key in the cord (or about 1,33 per key if osc 3 is on) multiplied with the unison count.

Example:

Track 1: Bass, 1 key, osc 3 off, unison 4 -> 4 voices
Track 2: Pad, 3 keys, osc 3 on, unison 4 -> 16 voices
Track 3: Arp, 1 key, osc 3 on, unison 3 -> 4 voices
Track 4: Bass drum, 1 key, osc 3 off, unison 2 -> 2 voices

Total if all is played simultaniously: 26 voices

My advise: Turn the unison off when sequensing/composing your tracks and when you?r done, you turn unison back on to desired level and record the tracks one by one (with the other tracks muted).
If you want to investigate more into the problem, you can turn the LED-mode to "steal" so that the LFO-LED?s turn on when a voice is "stolen" because of lack of polophony. You can also set the priority of the tracks if you want...
