I bought the virus b used, and I have d/l'ed everything I can off of access' website, including an SD *patch*. Some docs say that the SD CD comes with the virus, but I didn't get it from my seller.

What should I do/where sould I go for it? Is it easy to work with? Will I be able to manage the patches and define what banks I want to save to besides A & B?

Any help would be greatly appreciated including "hey dummy" links to other pertinent threads on this board!

Is it easy to work with?

Some people have had nasty incidents with SD (including me). So if you want to live dangerously, use SD. That bloody program messed up my whole B bank. That program has some (read: lots of) bugs.

If you didn't have SD CD with you Virus, you'll have to order the SD CD from Access, but I think someone in this forum can send SD to you via e-mail.

Thanks guys.

Sounds like I'm not missing out on much. I'm going to put that plan on the back burner.

hi juho,

sounddiver is not free or shareware. distributing copies is not permitted and could result in legal actions of sounddiver copyright holders (aka emagic and apple).

Oh. I thought it was freeware. Sorry.

Well, I was going to hit Access up for one as it would've come with a virus anyway (I'm pretty persuasive if I have to be.)

BUT, seeing as it's coming with such caveats as those above, I don't even want a free one from them.

well nick,

maybe you re-read the message. i wasn't saying that _we_ would take legal actions.

Marc-

I'm afraid I don't understand your post.

I was saying that with the bugs mentioned it wouldn't be worth it--even for free.

I`ve used SoundDiver since having my virus without any problems.

I hardly ever program the virus via the hardware interface, I`ve always used SoundDiver.

Give it a go.
