hi all,
after a bit of help from juho l ive decided to get a virus kc and im going to go get it next week, but i have more dilemas to solve before i hit the store.

currently i have
desktop pc(top spec) with old sb live+many soft synths.
roland jv 1080+exp boards
kiawa k4

i have just accuired a top spec laptop
now we know im getting the virus kc but im gonna need a sound card for the laptop.
now i was gonna get the audiophile 2496 usb ?149
also i wanted a better controller for the jv so i thought
novation remote 25 (built in presets for jv1080) ?240

now being as there around ?400 mark for the 2 i started pondering if i would be better off getting the novation 25 audio(xtreme) which has
an audio card built in
presets for jv control
built in k station
bundled soft v station etc

what dou think, or is there an even better route to go

thanks
Glen

i think use the KC as a controller!! forget about the novation when you have something like the KC to control...

grab yourself a nice soundcard for the laptop and with the money left over maybe buy an outboard effects unit or something...

contol the jv with the kc??

i thought it might get messy doing that hence thoughts of a
seperate contoller

Get a good MIDI interface. If you would have 4x4 interface you can connect every device in dedicated port and then for example use Virus to control every other port devices.

makes it very straight forward and less messy IMO.
