I was able to borrow a VKC to play within Cubase SX2 via midi and I got VKC to be a salve to the Cubase midi time BPM. But.... I am new....
And I can't figure out how to when I record a track using the Virus how to tweak the filters without recording it and doing it manually as I record. Must be an easier way?

Second and most importantly.. I can't play different virus patches on different midi tracks. I can only play the same sound on each track?
Should I be able to play different sounds of the virus on numerous midi tracks?

Last of all...
I will be using VKC as my controller also for my soft synths in my Cubase SX2. I could play different soft synths but virus would only play on midi channel 1, same sound.

Would I be better using my XP-50 as a controller and getting a Virus desktop? Would this be easier?

As far as recording your knob twiddling, you have to set up another track, whose MIDI Out and MIDI in is the same as your Virus', and set cubase so that it is not filtering out certain sysex data, once this is done, you can press record and record and edit your knob changes etc

You need to be operating in Multi mode to have different sounds on different tracks. Enter Multi Edit/Mulit single mode to choose which sounds you have on which MIDI channel.

Also.....read the manual. Most of this information you seek is in there somewhere....persistence is key.

Good Luck!
