hi everyone,

so i just stored a single sound from my virus to my seqencer. A little midi box appears in the track.

my question is, how do i get that sound back into the virus? I played over that spot, but i didn't see anything new happen...

can i control what bank and location number that sound can go into?

say i stored A1 to my sequencer, and now i want that to go to A2, can i do that or does it automatically go back to A1.... because what i did was i stored A1 to the sequencer, i changed the sound at A1 to be a diff sound, then i played back over the midi part in the sequencer, and nothing seemed to have changed?

can anyone please explain to me exactly whats going on?

thanks...

it should go into the edit buffer...there are a few settings regarding forcing to edit buffer in the system menu...pg 118 of the VC manual...

yes, once the patch is in the edit buffer (after you have loaded it from your sequencer), just press store, then move to the desired patch number then press store again.

when you load a sound from your sequencer to the virus (as long as it stores to edit buffer), technicaly its not storing to a patch slot at all...to store to a patch slot you will have to press the store button...other wise the sound is just in memory (just the same as when you edit a sound)..

hope this makes sense for you...

have a good read thru the manual too...its all in there..
