Finally got virus C, couple of Q's??

hi again guys,
last time i was here was for advice, well guess what...... :D

decided in the end to get a novation remote 25(2 midi outs) and a maudio firewire card and of course a Virus, i decided that with 2 outs on the remote i can control my jv1080 and another hence getting the C,
with the plan to run 1-16 virus and 16-32 jv or visa versa

Sooooooo.... its still in the box at the moment(bites nails with anticipation)
and i was wondering what the best course of action is.

i have downloaded the latest os +the 1024 soundfiles +latest sound driver what would be the order of doing things once i get it set up??

its now out the box and being toyed with, cant do alot till tomorrow tho as im waiting on the sound card :(
