the new triton
Hmm... I would go for the Motif ES since it got released earlier and has slightly better specs. But that tube on Triton is interesting.

Motif, if I had the opportunity to choose. I've got the EX5, (the predecessor of motif) and it can sure make a lot of funny things. There are some things I dont enjoy, but it seems like yamaha have fixed it for the motif...

Motif is also outdated by now. Motif ES was released few months ago, which is much better than the original Motif. A friend of mine ordered ES and still haven't got it. It seems that Yamaha is having serious trouble in shipping those things.

I would have to say Triton, too (the fact that I have a Triton is mere coincidence  )
I run mine through my Fat 1 if I need some red hot valve action :D

Even that valve can't save you if the samples are as plastic as in basic Triton.
