USB or parallell midi interfaces???

Time to get a new midi interface. It seemes like the parallell connected ones is faster and more reliable? Does it make any practical difference?

Not really sure 'bout technacalities between parallell end USB. I've been using an ESI M4U and it's been ok. The only complaint I have is that you must have the computer powered up 'coz it doesn't have its own PS. Not a big deal, but irritating enough since my compy's quite noisy.
