I uploaded some patches (from the new rEalm mythology soundset)
to my Virus Rack. Some of the patches were using the new analog filters. After playing around with the sounds I noticed the analog filter settings were shown in the filter section for filter1. The most unbelievable thing is that they work as they are supposed to (I know because I have Virus KC too and I?ve used the filters with it). So I now have the analog filter in my Virus Rack (OS 2.2) :D !!!

No, you must be mistaken - the settings might have found their way in somehow, but there is no way that the new filter algorithm would have crept into the Rack OS!

Try turning the resonance up full and Osc Main Volume all the way down to see if the filters self-oscillate - I'll bet my granny's teeth they don't!

I could be wrong. I?ll try it once again and get back to you soon. They really sound much like the analog filters in my KC. If they self-oscillate or not, they still sound different from the basic LP/HP/BP/BS filters.

that's a bug in the current rack OS. there is no new filter algorithm in the virus rack, only the names

there is also distortion settings in the matrix in some sounds
but the rack clasic dont even have distortion
so thats another example of weird stuff :D
its just numbers
the virus cant acually prosses the data

The filters don?t self-oscillate. But they are there, not only the names. They work but not as they are supposed to. I notised they work like the same way as the usual filters. Analog1 is LP filter, Analog2 is HP... So I have the settings but no new filters.
