Need help in virus/mixer/soundcard set up

Hey all! I am having trouble figuring out how to hook up my set up correctly. MY sound card is a lynx 2a. I run my mic pre directly into my channel 1 soundcard. MY sound card goes out from 1 & 2 into my mixer.

My virus goes into my mixer also. Problem is I can't convert midi into audio as I don't have virus going into soundcard. MY mixer is a 1202 mackie.

Put your mic preamp in mixer and rout the mixer output to soundcard input.

i done this just last week, i connected from the 2 aux sends into the card, these then operate as independent left and right channels.

the good thing about doing it this way, is that everything that runs through the mixer can easily be converted into audio.
