How does the vocoder work in kB?
I can get my mic working through it but can't get any special sound out.
I've set vocoder on and selected IN L/R as input, but what after that? I have German manual so it doesn't help.
The official language of this forum is English.

Make sure that you set the mic inputs in "external input" section and select "Osc" or "Osc hold" as carrier in the vocoder menu. Then just press keys and start tweaking the filter section.

well, in that case use the vocoder presets and change them to your taste.
the manual says its damn hard to create a vocoder patch from stratch.

I've always wondered this statement. It's not that harder than creating a normal patch. At least I didn't have any trouble in getting familiar with the vocoder section.

Yeah, I think the vocoder function is fairly straight-forward, too...

You can be bloody good too if you just set all the vocoder controls inn the middle (you should hear a sound now) and start tweaking.

OK, so when u have a mic plugged in and ur singin into it......u still goto use 'osc' or 'osc hold' and press key down....in order to hear ur voice? If this is the case...then that would explain why I dont get anything hehe.
Ill go try this now...
Thx Juho
