I just realised how important my Behringer EX3200 is. I had it unplugged for a while and I realised my songs lacked energy, space and low end. I don?t know if it?s the most important piece of kit in my studio but it is really important. Now that I know how much it does to my mixes I can?t live without it.

What is your most important equipment in your setup? And don?t even mention the virus  . We all know it?s great in many ways but try to think of something else this time.

I'd say that besides myself, my most important piece is my A/D and D/A converters. Without that, I would not be able to truly trust the signal being fed into my DAW, and my monitors.

I have 2 things really, as with-out one I can't use the other.

Controller keyboard and Sampler.

There are a few other things that I can't live without too though.

My Motu 828mkII. Thing is rock solid and the converters sound great. Of course, I'm on a mac, I don't think the pc drivers are quite as stable.

Read my first post...SOMETHING ELSE THAN VIRUS!!! There?s so much more in the market to choose from.
We all love the virus. That?s what this forum is all about. But try to think of something else this time.
