View Full Version : GeN - Haste
I declared this one finished as long as I have to wait for my new monitors.
This is the song of which I already posted a mix some time ago... made some spicy additions, cut some parts, etc.

Nice digital sounding pad to start off with! Your tracks always have good feel to them Gen. They remind me of a day time recovery club back home.
One thing i found with this track that I didn't like too much though, was the almost lo-fi/bit reduced quality to the drums. Other than that, a really nice tune indeed.

I just have to ask......There is this little sound throughout that sounds like a sample from "music sounds better with you...", you know that song???? Cant for the life of me remember what it is called. (Had a roulette wheel on the cover of the 12"). Is that a sample or your own creation?
Cool sounding, poppy dance. Almost Daft Punk!

Star Dust.
I hear it too, but I doesn't sound exactly the same. Almost. Real close.
Very nice track. Nice and housey! :D Has that good discotek feel.
I love that old Stardust track! But for the Haste "guitar blink" I did not sample Chaka Kahn - Fate (as Braxe/Bangalter did for Music Sounds Better With You), but some other old Funk/Disco track (cannot remember the name right now), which uses a similar guitar. Actually this is the only sample I used... just wanted to get that Stardust feel :)
I'm glad you all like it... guess I have to remaster it and erase some errors....... and thank you very much for the DAFT PUNK compliment *bows* :)
