For those of you in the market for a NEW analog monosynth, I recommend these >> http://www.macbethstudiosystems.com/

A VERY fat sounding monosynth, lovely and warm. Easily covers Pro-One, Moog and ARP sounds. These are definitely the best 'new' analog mono's Ive ever heard. Build quality is absolutely superb.

Personally, Im getting the M5 when it becomes available. It is semi modular (Very similar in spec to the ARP2600). Its probably the only analog mono im going to own.

Need convincing? M5 Breakbeat (http://www.macbethstudiosystems.com/mp3s/Tune%20Inc%201.mp3)

The M3X is approx ?700......u have to buy it from Bluebay. The M5 (the one I want!!) doesnt have a price yet. Ken will make the price available very soon.....

Well worth the money I think. Considering these monsters will easily last 30 years.

I wouldn't mind spending a little time with those machines before commenting on the sound too much - definitely looks quite nice though.

However, for the money, I'm still better off buying vintage here in Japan.

Tomer: it doesnt matter if its "just" another mini-moog clone, it will probably still sound really good. and besides people aren't going to stop trying to get hold of a "cheap" mini-moog / or it's sound acctually. :)

Oh yes! I thought about getting the Macbeth before I got my VC. Some wicked knobs on it and pure analogue aswell. I'm glad I got the VC though because it's more versatile.

Many people must be accessing the site. It worked no problem for me though.

It's strange for a company to have restricted bandwidth though! Musn't be a rich company I guess.
