Hi,

When i record virus parts to audio with cubase2 i get wierd latency problems. For example if i'm trying to record a 16th note straight trance bass line the notes dont all land exactly on the 16th note mark. They seem record before, after or on the note. The strange thing is that it is not a constant value, which i could simply solve by adjusting the offset. For every single note recorded the timing differs by a different amount which, means if i want each note to be exactly quantized i have to cut every single note and quantize it.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this...

Is quite stuttery almost like any particular note can jump just in or out of time quite random infact??

I had this problem for a while but after fiddling round with different buffers sizes and making sure i selected the right soundcard in .. SX<DEVICES<DEVICE SET UP<VST SYSTEM LINK and also VST MULTI TRACK .. This seemed to have sorted it for me!!!

Try it, make sure you have the right midi ports selected in SX<DEVICES<DEVICE SETUP<MIDI PORTS! also

urmmpp also check your preferences in SX and make sure you dont have anything filtered that you might need changing ... check... SX<PREFRENCES<MIDI<CHASE EVENTS FILTER. check also you dont have SYSEX filtered!! though to be honest might not change alot but worth going through all of um!!

You probably might of already checked all these, if so I havnt got a clue!!

Good luck though!! :D

Also mate doubt it this but make sure you have the signiture in sx to 4/4!

For about 3 days i couldnt realise why everthing wasnt playing in the right times just down to sumin i clicked on by mistake!! Probably aint like, but always worth a check!!

Anyone else ever done that? Started playing well weired and for about 3 days just couldnt understand why it had happened and it was just my signiures were set totaly wrong! TWAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
