OS X editor or PC

I'm using G2 for 1and1/2 week, waiting for OS X editor to come out. The damn thing is delayed untill july 1st or who knows if it is delayed more.
I use g5 with dp 4.1. I have a pc with 350 mhz and 128 mb ram. Minumum requirements of pc to handle G2 is 450mhz and 64mb.
should i wait till os x editor to come out or can i try it using it with my pc.
Do i mess G2 if i run it on my pc(win2000).
:roll: It is very annoying that you cannot use the synth for editing purpose. Can't wait to emulate the zupr saw.
Any thoughts on this. :cry:

Those modulars need the software to get the most out of them, so if I was you, I would be trying to run it on the PC. I doubt it would cause any problems with the G2 itself. Don't blame me if it does though. :wink:

I own a G2 aswell and it will not mess with the synth...the file is converted into a specific file for the G2...the editor is just there for the OS...the modules on the other hand r G2 specific...

That's great! With 2 of you being lucky enough to own G2s, one of you (at least) should be able to post some samples of some complex patches to show us what the thing is capable of. :wink:

I will wait till the os x editor comes out, meanwhile reading the manual and rob hordjik's reviews.
Blank, have you emulated the JP8k zup saw btw. Does your G2 has 256 preset patches and some performances, the manual says 1200 preset patches?

i havent really counted the preset patches...but i know if u use the knob you get a shit heap...and no i have not tried to emu the jp8000

Hollow, have you listened to that mp3 patch of g2 from electro-music's forum?
the patch sounds like some guy is driving a car, getting shot and crashing at the end. :oops:

Again the os editor v1.2 is delayed til july 5th :cry:
They have some goodies in the new version.
6 new random modules, noise osc, midi automation, scratch efx. :D
