Ok, it's probably been described 2030456 times on these forums but I don't get any wiser. I'm new to virus, midi and cubase and need help to set things up. I got a kc, most beatefull thing I've ever put my fingers on. But I don't have experience with hardware at all. Got also the midiman 2x2 usb/midi controller which confuses me. Also got the Delta 44 soundcard with Omni i/o controller. (the delta software controller confuses me to), and Cubase SX. Also I have a usb keyboard (radium 49) which I want to use as a master midi keyboard while I use kc to get programmed through cubase (midi patterns I mean). All midi in cubase has for some reason stopped working for me. It reacts but won't play a sound. If I use the midi key editor it does play sound. I've been struggeling for weeks trying to salve my probs but nothing works. That's why I turn to you and hopefully meet someone that can help. Know I need much help but it would be much appreciated. If you need more info to help me feel free to contact me on msn on motionchild@hotmail.com
Thanx in advance and to those who run these excellent forums.

Sounds like a "MIDI Thru" problem.....but not too sure. Make sure that "MIDI Thru" box is checked in the SX preferences

Also make sure when you set up a MIDI Channel, you Input is set to your radium, and output to the virus.

MIDI is a harsh mistress, but keep at it, and read your manuals!!!!!!! and eventually, you will get it licked. I did, and Im not einstein, if ya know what I mean??

I also found using the MIDI I/O (instead of USB) with my MIDI controller helped. Connect the Radium out--->to MIDIsport IN 1, and the MIDI IN/OUT of your virus to I/O port 2. Make sure you are not filtering any info from within SX (also in preferences)

By the way, what are you using (mac/PC) and what OS?????? Update your MIDI drivers too!

Hope this helps, try one thing at a time, and try to isolate where the connection is failing you...

Cheers,

Jason

GOD thanx man. It's all working now. You saved my life truly. And I gotta say, the virus sounds like a godess in the right environment. Did like you sayed and removing the midi filtering on thru was just what it needed. Most excellent. Again thanx.
