I'm Rob from NJ. Some of you may know me from DarkSonus and The Gas Station. I've had my Virus KB for about four years now. I've been playing music for about 7 years (I play keys and bass guitar). I like ebm/industrial and triphop, amonst other things.

Tomer=Trance, I'm lazy, I haven't put up any music. Actually, I've been writting songs for a few years, but they only exist as MIDI files. I haven't even recorded audio for most of them. I probably should get on that, huh? And to think, I sold my beloved Korg Prophecy to buy a Tascam US-428 to record audio. STUPID!!! ARG!
I haven't heard too much good triphop lately. Has anyone put out and decent stuff recently? I keep listening to my old Portishead, Massive Attack, and Faithless. I've been playing more bass guitar lately, and it makes me miss that good old stuff.

Hi Hollowcell!

Digital Screams, I lost my Sounddiver CD. I have the program running on my old (retired) laptop. I guess I could use sonar to do sysex dumps, right? Or maybe you could email me the program? Some of my sounds on the Virus are pretty ok. I'm sure yours are good, I remember enjoying some of the mp3's you posted on Dark Sonus. I could always (gasp) dig up my laptop and connect some midi hardware to it...

DS, I just saw that you can d/l the Virus SoundDiver from the Access site. I'll D/L and then we can swap patches.

Triphop, DS, Triphop.

I know I said we'd trade patches, but I haven't really had time do do much music stuff lately. My life is a shambles. I'm moving soon (moms and the wife and I bought a 2 family house), but we haven't established a date yet, because we're fighting with the owner to get rid of the tenant (the owner's ex-mother in law). If she stays when we take possession, it will take us months of litigation to evict her if she doesn't pay rent (and she currently doesn't). I don't know whether or not to pay the rent this month, because I'm going to live out my security for our last month in our apartment.

I've been fighting with my job to get my tuition paid for grad school, and they made me wrote a stupid essay about how my course of study (MBA) will be relevant to my job (QA Specialist). Of course this ended up being a bigger pain in the ass than I expected.

I had to prepare for and conduct an internal audit of a department at work, which was exhausting and required a good amount of prep time at home.

The brakes on my car just went, my childhood friend just died of a heroin overdose, my pregnant wife is worried about finishing her semseter at school because she's do at the same time as finals...

My mom may get fired from her job because of a feud between her and one of her bosses over my wife's internship, and now my wife's professor wants documentation that we don't have and can't get! ARG!!!! I'm going to go home and have a big drink.

So anyway, DS, when I get myself together, I'll be sure to d/l the Virus Soundiver and send you my crappy patches. :?

If anyone has a good excuse not to trade a few patches I think it's you! 8O

Hope it all settles down with-out the loss of life. Good luck.

Wooo Gothic......thats pretty heavy. Ive had times (quite recently actually) when everything started to hit me at once. I repelled the bad things with ym happy 80's synth sounds...and now I feel great!

*On a serious note though. That sticky tennant could be a real prob if they dont go. Here in the UK we have some crazy law that says something like 'If a squatter stays in ur house for 6 years...they get to keep the house'. Now that really is parasitic.

Here's my school.

Thanks for understanding, Hollowcell. I'm a mess right now, but things will get easier.

DS, that's crazy about the squaters. You Brits and your socialism...

Your school looks nice, pretty view of the water.

Welcome to Planet Virus!

Gosh, I am a bit late on the bandwagon with this meet and greet, my brother is here from Overseas, and I havent seen him for four years, but enough about me.........Hope everything turns out OK for you, I believe that if you truly are a good person, and you are not being an evil prick, then all things will work out.

I think with old age I become more philosophical and idealist.......somebody slap me.

See ya round the 'rums
