hi everyone,

i have just joined this forum today and would like to introduce myself!

Im 24 years old chinese living in Hong Kong.

I enjoy everything, all types of music no matter what. You will see all types of CDs in my car ranging from Miles Davis to Digital Underground to Jeff Mills.

I love music so much which is why i have decided to buy the KC and its coming in the mail sometime at the end of the week. Although i will be mainly using it to produce detroit/swedish style techno i think there will be many goodies in this keyboard that will be used for other styles of dance music as well!

anyways, hope i didnt bore anyone!

cheers

a very small world! Ive noticed after moving here that there are more westerners than i first believed. Its almost like a meltin pot here. Interesting mix of people. The music scene can definately receive some help tho!

That SH101 sure is one nice synthesizer. same as the virus of course.

I'd love to go to HK someday, and japan aswell.. but then for my soul purpose of making HC paranoid. hehe

When I was in HK, going to a "rave" was a joke, all they played was "house" music....NO hardcore, jungle, trance!

The music scene back then was a real joke! Im sure it must be a little better now???

Hardcore & jungle? wow, did they play that kind of music in ausi-rave?
The only music that is played in raves here in sweden is two kind of trancemusic: full on and "swedish ?rebro trance" (that sounds like Full on/psy but with alot more effects). But there is going to be a rave soon where they are only going to play old school goa which will be really nice.

No!, muhahahaha.. for no one will ever stop the voices in your head

yeah....in Australia, the Raves have a few different "arena's" where they play alot of different styles....even breakbeat etc

But those are mainly the "main-stream" raves.....the underground ones are more secular and hardcore

Australia rules......

Yeh, have to admit the parties at home were bloody great.

Just to reminis out loud; 2000 new years bash. Huge warehouse - Live electronic muscians, DnB, chilled breaks, house and a huge lounge paying a mixed bag of stuff at a lower level so people could talk or rub up against other people. The bigger parties are always well advertised, but they get a cool crowd.

The underground parties are usually much crazier, smaller and with selcted genres. I went to a party held in the middle of no-where which had about 250 people, cost $60 (back in 1994), but you had access to the mushroom punch (which had a whole sheet of trips in the bottom) and access to a small shop which looked like a sweets shop (but not selling sweets). Completely out of control and went for 2 days.

Now back to topic...

Welcome Casa! :D And remeber who you are going to give that SH101 to OK. I'll swap you some of my VC patches for it.
