Hello!
I've got a very funny problem:
I can't load the MIDI-FILE "1024 patches Update" or
other MIDI FILES to the virus,
becauser every time, I open the Sounddiver and >>import<<
the midifile,
it says (the sounddiver): " Unknown file format MIDI" ....
Don't know what to do,
for short:
I can't load the Update (or other Sounds in Midi-Format)
to the Virus KC, because sounddiver says: "Unknown File Format MIDI"...
I've got a
Powermac G4
OS X 10.3
Can someone help me?
Thanks!

You should use your sequencer to load the 1024 update.....
Which sequencer do you use?
Basically, u import the MIDI file onto a MIDI track in your sequencer, with the input/output MIDI channel set to whatever your virus is on, change the BPM to around 60, and make sure that your sequencer is not filtering out any sysex data.
Press play on the sequencer, and the update should start to load.
Let us know how you go, good luck!

This is right,
but what sequenzer should I use?
I thought it is possible to use the sequenzer of
the SoundDiver , but , you see, it doesn't work...
So I don't have a sequenzer...
I've Ableton Live, Reason and that's all.
In the future I will buy >> Cubase SL 3.0<<
But what can I do at the moment to set up the
std. sounds?

Ableton should be able to do it....I think?
If you can record MIDI in Ableton Live, then you can use this...it is a sequencer after all.
So, open up a MIDI channel/track in ableton, and then import the 1024 MIDI file into that track, make sure that the MIDI I/O is set up, and press play.
Also, read through the manual, there is some settings in there for using the Virus with DAW's/sequencers...
Good luck!!!

My Ableton Live Delta
isn't able to do this.
It's only a Audio Sequenzer...
What can I do?

How can I do it?
If I take this midi file and press "play",
it is playing, but nothing happens.....

Now the virus kc makes "knack"- noise , if I press a key.
I think the OS is damaged .
Shit technology...
I can't stand, why the "SoundDiver" doesn't support MIDI Files.
This is really absurd, don't you think so?
Don't know what to do:
Now my Virus KC doesn't work in my studio and
I don't know why.
I am very frustrated .
Can someone help me?
Or I take this synthesizer and throw it through the window!
And the macintosh afterwards!

Easy tiger ;) Sound Diver is not supposed to be able to load new OS or 1024 updates. This is not what the software is for. You need to have a sequencer that plays MIDI, which is a pretty standard thing. What about Garage band???? This comes with mac, but not sure if it does MIDI
Or I take this synthesizer and throw it through the window!
And the macintosh afterwards!
Throw it my way please!!!!! Virus are quality synths, and Im sure it is not going to be too hard to sort out these problems. Access are good people, and if there is actually something wrong with your synth, Im sure they will be happy to fix it for you....
Are you new to Macintosh? These are great machines, and once you figure things out, you will be more than happy. if not, please throw it my way, Im happy to take another in my studio!!!
Take it easy, these are all simple issues.....

are you sure you are assigning the proper midi output on the sequencer ? I don't even own a virus yet, but that OS thingy seems pretty simple to achieve. Anyway, good luck man. take it easy.
Is your virus set up to receive midi messages ?

Check the high page and low page settings on the Virus for sysex transfers?
