Just got T Racks mastering suite and its very very nice. Made some old DJ mixes I did a couple years ago sound so much better I nearly fell outta my chair. And its so easy to use.
Just thought I'd share this with the group :P

smells like a company ad. What good is a dj mix that is a couple of years old?

I SO agree with Merlot on this one!
I used to use TRACKS till I found Izotope Ozone.
You just can't compare these two...
Izotope Ozone rocks :)
I like T-racks aswell. But then again i haven't tried alot of different software, i usually get stuck on one piece of software and then i never 'leave' that program

No one asked you mate. A dj mix that is a couple years old is good cause it is mine! And I like to preserve the history of my career. I've lost enough good mixes over the years. Go find somewhere else to post that sort of nonsense.
As for the the topic. Thats really interesting guys. I've only tried T-Racks so far. I'll give that Isotope a try as soon as I can. Interesting to hear different people's opinions.

Also, if you are on logic pro 7, defenitely check out the match EQ. If you know some one who has it, borrow it then!

I'm on Cubase and I'll never go logic now that they have turned their back on us PC users.
You should see the price of a mac in this country!

Understandable. I was on mac before logic went apple only. i was using cubase then switched over to logic. I still have my SX dongle, just need to buy the upgrade to 3.

What country are you in?

I'm in New Zealand.
G5 with Dual 2 gig processor, 160 gig hard drive and 512 ram
$4995 NZD which equals $2664 Euro or $3500 USD. Just for the box.
To give you an idea of what this means, I can get a pc built with a 3+ gig processor. 1 gig ram, twin 80gb hard drives running Raid and good graphics card and all necessary usb and firewire ports for less than $1500 NZD.

DAAAAAAAMN!
Imagine that; so with the $3500 you could spend on a Mac it's possible to get a fully decked out PC and $2,000 worth of gear...
Interesting comparison.

Well actually if we are talkin in US dollars. It would cost $1049 USD for the pc and have nearly $2500 left to spend on gear.
But yeah, its way out of whack and I won't be going mac anytime soon

Just got Ozone 3. This is some powerful software!!!
It really does make T-Racks look like something a kindergarden student wrote in comparison.
Makes my tracks sound oh so juicy
