If i can understand this right; you are choosing between either getting an NL3 + en VC or one TI?

I'd say that you can't go wrong with either of those options if you are going to create trancemusic.

Get the Virus C and Nord 3.....it will give u a slightly wider pallette of sounds than just the TI alone.

Remember the Nord 3 has some nice FM capabilities ....whereas the TI has wavetable. Do you prefer the sound of a DX7 or Wavestation?

I'd go for the Nord and Virus C also. This would be a fantastic combination and will give your tracks a more varied sound.

As Saba suggests....if you can afford it also....you really would benefit from a true analog monosynth. Look into mono's such as Roland SH101, Sequential Pro-One and Korg Mono-Poly.

I agree with everybody, go with the C and the nord3. What ever you dont have covered there (which is not going to be much), you find fin with soft synths.

Well, I just had a thought.
If you are going to be using a computer, then go with the above. Also, why are you buying 2 big time synths? I would say buy one, get your head around it, and then if you find yourself needing another one, get the other one. Otherwise, you might actually have too many sounds to use if you are a beginner and are trying to stay afloat in this production world.

A lot depends on your working style -- you don't say if this is all studio or if you're also doing live stuff. I just sit in a studio, and having the TI appear as a VST in my sequencer is HUGE. I was done with hardware synths until this appeared. Also, if you're in a studio, you can use the huge amount of softsynths to fill out your sound palette.

It's all sort of moot though, since no one actually knows how big a difference the wavetable and hypersaws will make. Probably you should wait hopefully no more than a few days, when some mp3s are out, before bothering.

I say wait for the TI too....It's hard to choose without listening to the TI's new OSCs first.

The TI's wavetable or new saw may be somthing you have to have. Who knows.

After listening, then you will be able to judge if the NL3 is what you want. If the new features on the TI don't appeal, then getting a C and NL3 will be your best option.

Good luck with the choice! :D

Thanx very much to everyone.I'm sorry my english is so bad.
I think nl3 can give me some very analog's sound, like moog.
but Virus can give me more mordern sound.right?
another question,Can The nord modular G2 make all nordlead3's sound?and the sound quality of them are equally?

The G2 is a mdoular synth and the NL3 is a Virtual analogue synth. THe G2 can from my understanding do alot of the same type of sounds as the NL3. It is just more difficult to get them out of the G2, b/c you have to choose, OSC type, Filter type, Envelope, etc.. Not to mention the NL3 has unison built in already. In the G2, you would have to detune each wave yourself. G2 is an amazing synth, but for the type of music you want to make, I would say go for the NL3 if it is between these two. JMO.

Tranzash, has a G2, as do some other members, maybe they can chime in.

I think G2 is the best machine for psy trance, weird effx, EP, Strings, Brass, Wood winds, vocodors, 303, ext sound mangling, Dx7, FM, pads, leads, basses(compressers for DnB), physical modelling and pretty much everything. No unison and Grains at the moment. I'm still learning how to use all of the logic modules and seq. G2 will easily replicate the nl3 without no doubt. I really like those pitch benders and mod wheel :)

Well, since the TI doesn't sound like *anything* right this moment, I'd say get the VC. At least you can hear that one.

Jesus, after reading the clusterfuck that is this thread, I'd say give up music altogether and buy a car or something....

this thread at a glance:
yeah, def. get the C. No, I mean, the C and the nord. But not the G2 nord. Well, maybe the G2 nord. But, then, maybe the Ti Virus. I dunno. What about a prophet? Or a Juno? those are good, eh? OH I'VE GOT IT!!! A Hammond!!! er, or a MOOG!!! yeah, they're the shit!"

damn, what the hell are you gonna do with 2 monster VAs? why not get a bit of the virus sound with a virus b, then go for an analogue mono, maybe something like the alesis fusion when that comes out. i really liked the demo of that. theres so much variety you could get with that kind of cash.
