samples from goodfellas? :)
nice drive on the tune.. the synth leads are really cool, specially the transitions in the tune i liked a lot. maybe you overused the joe pesci sample a bit, but thats a matter of choice i assume.

keep it up m8..

Nice one Onkel,

not exactly my favorite type of music but very well done. Nice and psychedelic!

One thing that would make this track better to my ears is to use that noisy sound every (what 8 or) 16 bars (which goes like vhuuu ;) ) a bit less... I love that sound and the way it brings you back to attention after spiraling inwards... well just a thought, overuse takes away a bit of that magic.

Thanx both of you. I know that the Joe Pesci samples are a little messy and overdone. And i also thought that the noisy thingy (a snare with a long attack and run though a filter) is a little monotomius but then I thought: "aahhh, what the fuck. It?s nice now."  I think i?m gonna look at these things someday.

I really like this Onkel! I could imagine this turing into a full on stomper - all it needs is more processing/production. Some of the leads remind me of Prodigy - just layered with a 4 beat. The bass-line is nice and dark. I wouldn't mind doing a remix of this actually. The lines and bass are the style I like for sure.

Like I said the song itself I really like. Now to the bits I'd change, production wise.

I'd layer and distort using a good distortion unit and amp sim. Many of those synth lines could do with beefing up - even just layering and EQ would work with some of them. I'd add another kick drum to the mix as well I think. There are a few other things too, but most could be fine-tuned in mastering.

Seriously though, nice work! I could really see this really breaking out into a cool track though Onkel - just needs more production.

EDIT* Let me know if I can do a remix of it.

Thanx a lot Hollowcell. I know that a final touch would do wonders but i?m not very skilled with effects, eq?s, etc. and my equipment is very limited in that way. Most effects are from the Virus an effect-preset from my EMU 1212M. The hi-hat is run through a Sherman Filterbank 2. I?d like to have a Powercore PCI but i?m running on a tight budget at the time. You are more than welcome to remix it if you like. Do you need the all the audiofiles to do this? Cause that would be quite some mail-attachment
