Mr. Crosland doesn't work for Access directly. He can't do a damn thing for you!
45 days would take it to march 9.....
...and I remember ben crosland saying "45 days or sooner"
I really hope access shows enough respect to let people with preorders know where they are up to.
my guess is that if we hear anything at all - it will prob be 'shipping in another 45 days' :?
i would really like my keyboard now please mr access.
cheers

At least if we could have an update on the situation! I'm not even asking for a specific date, I just wanna know what is going on @ Access.
I'm getting worried to say the least ;)

Are you guys really that worried? Impatient maybe lol. Its gonna come soon enough.....
DS 8)
I just hope it bloody works flawlessly when it finally DOES get released. I couldnt think of anything worse than Access to spend months of delays fixing bugs only to release it with loads still in it (which will probably happen anyway), only to leave us waiting again for months on end for an OS update fixing them.

I really can't understand why there is no "official" response from Access, for those that have put down their pre-orders a third of a year ago. It's been left to Ben, a non-Access hardware/software developer, to be at the 'front-end' in giving nothing more than a 'possible' date.
The "wall of silence" is abhorent, really. Very disrespectful.
I can only think of two possible reasons (please add more as appropriate :) )
1) They seriously dont have a fucking clue when it will be ready because they didnt R/D properly on this TI malarky and have now only found out how difficulty it is to implement 100% stable.
2) They do know exactly when it will be ready but if they told us the truth (end of 2005?) they know we would all go fucking mad at them :)

3) The hardware itself is fine, it's the plug-in (VST & AU) that has issues. It's very hard to create a plug-in that is 100% compatible with all systems. They want to release the whole package together. If this were the case, I'd be willing to download the plug-in on a later date.
(remember, speculations only)

Hello John Mullins,
Thank you for your mail and sorry for the inconvenience you discover. The TI
Line is still in beta test
and we are confident to ship within the next weeks. It's hard to predict when
exactly since it's
impossible to predict which remaining bugs we will find.
Thanks for your understanding.
With best regards,

Instead of just replying to e-mail from individual people why don't they put out a press statement and save themselves from reading through all of the e-mails that i'm sure they are recieving with the same question.

Atleast a Mp3 huh!
A couple of weeks ago I came to the realisation that I am into synths to make tunes, not to embark on some kind of fucked up treasure hunt. I thought time is precious and as some of you may know, I bought a Waldorf Q cheap from a mate to fill the gap where the Ti should be. When (if) the Ti is released and the bugs sorted out, maybe I will sell the Q and get the Ti, but I will still have been making tunes and getting acquainted with another synth. For those people who don't have other synths and are twiddling their thumbs I'd definitely consider this.

Yep, I'm with Smag on this one. The TI won't be the last synth you guys will ever buy (it won't do everything you need - no synth can). If you need another sound source for your music, grab something else - there's heaps around. Doesn't have to be expensive or spec heavy either.
The worst thing about this saga isn't the wait though, it's the fact that Access aren't saying much about it publicly - strange strategy really.
Anyway, rather than let stress levels get up there, buy somthing else. Wait 6 months after the release to see how the TIs go. If the new DSPs last, software intergrates and the new OS update improves the crappy Vocoda from the C series - Buy one!
solid advice HC.
that nord rack is looking better by the day...

I have seriously thought about canceling my order and going with something different but my biggest regret would be having waited so long to only quit and then when it comes out having regrets about not waiting. Damn you Access make my life easier and release the damn thing!
What to do, what to do....

Nigel..I SO understand what you mean :)
There is a voice inside of me "cancel your preorder since you are disapointed with usb..wait for firewire" but at the same time, I really want the damn thing!
Maybe I'll get a 2nd hand virus instead to fix my addiction and wait a year or two for TI :)
