This is probably a question for Juho me thinks.....

I was looking around and saw a Roland VK8 on special (Approx. AUD$2500) and was just wandering if there were any other options from other companies that I should consider.

What about soft synths???

I know there are a couple offerings from Korg aswel, but not sure which ones are better. I am going through an organ stage at the moment and cant stop listening to The Doors.

NI's B4 sounds alright.

NI's B3 sounds alright.

Yup (although it's B4). B4 is great for studio stuff, but nothing beats real leslie. Of course it will cost a pretty penny, but for example VK8 & leslie combination is total killer. Electro 2 with leslie is not bad either.

If leslie gets too expensive a good leslie modelling also works, like Rotosphere.
