has anyone heard the demo sounds of the new ACCES VIRUS TI (not out yet) from there site.

gees it sounds pretty interesting. never heard that kind of quality before.

it really sounds different from the ACCESS VIRUC C in aura.

the access virus C haS a little more of the typical VA quality that one hears in the NORD LEAD and a little of the JP-8080.

however the VIRUS TI, sounds not like a typical VA too much.

GEES maybe the difference is that, the demo uses the VIRUS TI's new direct USB connection getting rid of the D/A L/R OUTPUT component in the sound.

Dont know, but it sounds very neat.
BOY IT COULD BE A REAL WINNER. mmmmmmmmmmmm

anyone elses opinion would be appreciated. the point i am making is very clear to hear when comparing the VIRUS C presets on parade AND THE VIRUS TI presets on parade.

maybe people here dont like it. i love it - - but maybe its because i have a classical background. i love the C AND TI sounds although i dont have one yet, just waiting for the TI.

when comparing the VIRUS C presets on parade AND THE VIRUS TI presets on parade.

And another thing....

Don't use the presets on parade as a bass on which to choose the synth. The VC (and TI I imagine) are capable of much more than what they show in those.

Probably the best demo for the TI is the one Ben did on Sonicstate. He shows the raw capabilty more in the way he demos it.

Listening to presets are nice and all, but all they really do is show you what someone else wants the machine to sound like.

About half the sounds on that TI demo are from the wavetable oscillator -- it doesn't sound like a typical VA because that's a different type of synthesis. If you have any experience with the Waldorf MicroWaves or anything by Ensoniq with their transwaves, it's the same idea.

Yeah, it certainly does give it a whole new world of sounds to explore. It was a great move on Access' part.
