Boxed as new etc etc. I'll let you all know how I find it in the coming weeks.

Would anyone here be interested to hear some MP3's of it if I make some?

Nice, have fun programming that thing though.

Post some sounds you make, as we can load them in fm7.

Will do guys....

Ive also heard that sounds made in FM7 can be put into the DX7. So at some point ill get FM7 and use it to program sounds...and just dump them into the DX7 for the 'authentic' playing experience heheheh

i think they call them filters, and there are others called effects ... you can do amazing things with this gear

I wouldn't call the DX7 cheesy, but some of the patches are. It's possible to get some wicked drones and FX from these machines, programming's a bitch, but if you get your head around it, you'll get some great powerfull sounds.

Have fun DS!

Congrats DS!

That ought to hold that GAS for a while until the Ti is released.....

the dx7 "filter" is crap,a true vcf filter would have turn this pure digital synth into a beast.

i was reading on vintage synth that the DX5 is like having 2 DX7, all the rest is identical, it is just a dual 6 op fm engine.
So why itsn't it as famous as the DX7 ? it seems to be more versatile

It is my understanding they are DS.

They all have a file extension of SYX I believe (Sysex?).

The read me file that came with them states that they were created on a DX7.

Cheers!

What do you use them to?

I mean do you have a DX7?

Or FM7.
