I got a buddy who has one. THe OS is a little wierd if not incomplete. It has nice kicks and snares, but sucks on the hats end of the spectrum.

Don't have one, but wish I did! Deep solid kicks a plenty!
Great kicks, good snares, crap hats, a little difficult to operate but you can get some serious beats out of it.
Why don't you hang fire? Jomox are bringing out their new box with a release date expected later this year (where have I heard that before?)

yes one of the main reasons i am interested in this, is for the phatt deep kicks, and snappy snares,
I am not sure what the going rate is for one of thease second hand , but my bids at ?220 so far, with 2 days left...
I really wanted a machine drum,or (Original Tr 808) but a little bit expensive and rare at the moment...
I have a cool little plug in for beatz called sonic charge Micro tonic,
really digital but cool, has anyone used this?,

Yes, you'll defintely get the deep fat kicks with the Jomox. I've got an Mbase (just a kick) and I use NI Battery to run samples of snares and cymbals over this, whilst running it through UAD plugins - works pretty well.
I say go for it and come the Autumn if you don't like it, sell it again, but if you do, sell it anyway and get the new special edition Jomox Xbase which they're bringing out.
