Just tried the demo and,Who knew....
WHO knew sequencers could be such fun!?
i love it. realy thinking of buying a copy.

Is Live's lience tradable?
I mean, will i be able to buy a copy of live 4 from ebay for example or from some pre-owner and upgrade it to live5? (its just the cheap side of me speaking right now) :)

Im using live 4 atm and have also tried the live 5 demo. Gotta say how much fun live is compared to the norm (cubase, logic and sonar etc). The UI is sooo easy to work with and enables almost instant recording and remixing with no arsing about ala cubase etc. Add the rewire, vsti & dxi support and ur sorted. I for one could never quite feel at home with the likes of cubase as ive always been a hardware sequencer fan. Live has converted me and whilst the midi editing is somewhat limited compared to the audio manipulation, i`m coping rather well :-)

Anyway.. back to topic > I`ll prolly hang back till live 6 before upgrading as im hoping on a few more midi based improvements come with v6.

Btw Tomer... did you mess with the `beat` audio effect ? I had a great time just messing with beats using only the presets. The fx quality seems pretty damn good for plugins altho i`m no expert.

I've been using Cubase and Live together alot, Recently I've been putting my vocal comps from Cubase to Live and arranging them there, lots of fun with looping and triggering etc.

I just had a go with the demo as well and yeah it does seem like a lot of fun.

I guess the only thing you'd have to be careful of is that I can see is that if people think midi and sequencers leads to lots of copy and pasting of the same bits over and over then live is going to be their worst nightmare.

Looks like it would be a brilliant live performance tool unlike any other sequencer I have seen.

my question is, is live geared towards "live" use? I am finally starting to look at doing some live stuff, but it doesn't seem like cubase is geared toward this.

the most "creative" way you can use cubase live is run your audio tracks off it and do some tweaking of inserts and such.

LIVE is totaly different, instent trigering and fun. :D

live is best when triggered using an external midi controller, i saw a live use of it, it is really really great
