I'm looking into getting a Virus in the near future, and have been reading a lot about different sequencers (Live5, RS7000, MPC2000XL, etc), but I think I have just managed to confuse myself.

I know a midi sequencer can record pitch bend, aftertouch, etc., but can they record the settings for unison, chorus, reverb etc? I know for unsion the Virus unison NRPN/RPNs, but to me it doesn't look like any of these sequencers can record NRPN/RPN data. I could be very confused though. 8O

I'm looking at this from more of a live performance angle than a studio angle.

If the sequencers can't record these parameters would it be better for me to record audio instead of midi?

Any insight is appreciated!

Just about any parameter in the Virus can be controlled via MIDI with controller or polypresure data. It?s very simple once you learn it and just about any MIDI sequenser (software or hardware) can record and play back these data...
