Just a wild guess, but perhaps they arent assigned in the mod matrix???
Are u using in combination with a sequencer, or standalone? If yes, which sequencer? Which MIDI interface etc...
It might be a setting with your sequencer, Im not too sure though.
Good luck!
Althou - Even if the modwheel isn't assigned in the modmatrix the pitchwheel should work alright

Yeah true....
I am out of my depth on this one. Maybe an email to Access Tech support wouldnt go astray. They should get back to you quite promptly, they havent got much else on their hands ;) hehehe...
Aye. Maybe it could be a corrupt OS or something that's the problem since it occour on both MOD and PITCH-wheel.

You can set the pitch range in the main edit menu, so pitch won't be effected, but I find it hard to believe that that, and also all the mod-matrix settings, for everypatch would be turned off. It would take alot of work doing this for everypatch
It's a weird one......
Like 303 said. Maybe an OS problem. Reinstall would be the first thing to try. If this doesn't (or does) work, let us know.

is there some kind of a 'reset', or 'initialize' type procedure for the KC?
i recently had to do a 'reset' on an alesis keyboard of mine because the mod wheel wasn't working. it's fine now.

Hello again! Guess what, im selling the KC for a TI! Bummer...
In less then 24 hours ive had 7 people interested, and im actualy getting a fair amount for it, more then I gave :?
Thanks for all the replies, maybe you can still help me with this one..?
I need to fix the pitch and modweel before i sell it!!
Ive sent a mail now to access describing the problem, it goes like this:
Virus KC os 6
Pitch bend and modweel dont work. It dont work on anny program/patch, even though its ment to from the menu settings.
I downloaded the os 6.5 but im unshure on how to install. Will it help?
I know im suposed to install the new os through a sequencer (tracktion 2 in my case) with the synth conected with midi to the sequencer. Is there a spesific mode the virus should be set to, to recive the midi file os update? Ive done this with other synths, but not vith a virus.
Please care to describe in detale if you can!
Best,
Kim Svendsen

Is there a spesific mode to set the menu in, to recive the midi file os update from the sequencer? Cant fin it.. might be im lazy.. but... its more im a bit of a messy head

yeah, I believe it is - hold down the LFO shape key when powering on and it will reinitialize the instrument. I don't have it in front of me, so I am going from memory

Wow, access answared in just a few hours, impressive!! Respect to that! :D
Heres what they said, if someone needs the information on how to instal new os:
Hello kim svendsen,
Thank you for your mail. No, the Virus kc doesn't have to be set to a special mode to be able to
receive an incoming OS.
To load a new OS File into your Virus you need to download the OS onto your computer first. You will
find all the sound and OS files on our website http://www.access-music.de
As soon as you downloaded the OS folder you need to unpack them. All OS versions are packed
as .ZIP file. This can be extracted by WinZip (on PC) or Stuffit Expander (on MAC).
After that you will find several folders. The folder "OS" contains the OS files as Standard MIDI File
(.mid).
All OS Files are stored as Standard Midi Files and can be imported into nearly any sequencer available
on the market. Start with the "first" OS File. When importing an OS File, one single track will appear in
the sequencers arrangement screen. Route this track to the Midi Out the Virus is connected to and
play it back at moderate speed (around 80 bpm). Also make sure Midi Clock transmission is
deactivated and the Virus is connected directly with the Midi Interface, so no other Midi gear
inbetween.
When uploading an OS File, the Virus' display will switch and show a raising number. After a
successful upload, you will be asked to hit the STORE button. Then the Virus will burn the data into
its ROM. Do not touch the unit during this time. After successfully burning the data into ROM the
Virus automatically will reboot. Then repeat the same process with the "second" file.
As soon as you proceed an OS Upgrade on your Virus and load up the "first" and "second" part of the
OS Files, you will automatically receive the additional 512 ROM Sounds.
