The Merge - help needed

Hi guys and gals,

I have kind of got stuck with this track (http://www.kushdee.f9.co.uk/files/TheMerge.mp3) that I am working on.

I really like the way it sounds but it was one of those tracks that just ended up being rather than actually an idea translated into music.

I need ideas on where to go next with it.

It really is in a very basic form at the moment the "ear candy" is still to be added but I could do with ideas for a lead or perhaps a song / album / artist of a similar vein to get some inspiration from...

Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated...

The feeling I get is some bad ass breakbeats....perhaps in the vein of early Freestylers!

Some Rude Boi vocals might be wicked!

Try maybe cutting up some breakbeat loops and using the samples instead of drum synth sounds....big tom rolls to introduce drums, then go into a breakdown, and then slam em with a massive, dirty, funky bassline!
