As I am new to the forum : Hello to every1!

I couldn't find anything for this in the forum.

If I am triggering an Arpeggiosound from Cubase SX it seems that the Virus and SX are not running exactly at the same speed.

Let's say I just trigger a cycle of one bar (via Midi) it stops randomly every 2nd 3rd or 4th bar. and begins to be regtriggered after the next cycle.

It doesn't matter which Arpeggiator-Pattern I use. The speed is at the same value.

Any known issues for this?

Sorry for my bad explantion. I am from Germany!

Regards, Sebastian

EDIT: I could add a new picture to the Avatar but the old one with the stupid baby didn't remove. So there are two pictures. What to do? Thx!

Welcome to the forum!

The baby pic will disappear after your next post.

Perhaps try posting on the Steinberg Cubase forums too, as it might be something with SX, and they may have some hints.

Sorry I couldnt be of more help!

Good luck!

:)

make sure your virus is set to sync to incoming midi clock and that cubase is the master.

Hope that helps

Welcome :D

Try going to the "Config" menu and set the tempo(clock) to the tempo of your song. It teases me sometimes because i havent figured how to make it automaticly sync to sx. You should try it.

I agree with Gopal. Make sure you use midi clock sync and set SX as the master. You can find the midi clock sync in sx under the transport menu.

Hi!

I did it like u suggestet it.

I made SX sending Midiclock to the Virus. SX is also the master (it was the master before also )

The Virus indicates (by a little "c" in the display) that it gets Midiclock from SX and the virus also follows tempo-changes in SX but the failure is still the same.

Don't know what to do.

Thx for your replys!

Seb.

Sure like an odd problem.

Is everything connected right, is there any options in Cubase you missed out on?

Hallo Sebastian,

Sebastian

I had this exact same problem with Cubase sx 3.. it triggers 2 or 3 of the arps then misses one then re-triggers. I was able to get around this sometime by finishing the note 1/8 early instead of on the bar so its got time to retrigger. Its not your virus its Crapbase being crap! Fancy a sequencer that cant keep midi sequence in time!

If I am triggering an Arpeggiosound from Cubase SX it seems that the Virus and SX are not running exactly at the same speed.

I couldnt keep cubase in time for tight modo sequence no matter how hard I tried. If I look at the clock indicator on the nord lead 3 it will float up and down bpm , example : I set bpm to 138 in cubase and have all midi equip set as slave to this clock. The clock on the nord floats from 137 - 139 bpm every time... I eventually sold cubase and went for a Pro-tools setup and havnt had any midi time problems since

SCREW CUBASE sx 3!

Are you sure you are running the latest version of Cubase?

There have been about 4 updates to SX3.
