I have put a deposit down and Digital Village, but am maybe keen to delay, due to all the grief everyone seems to be having?

What's an owners opinion?

PS: when's the next software update after 1.05 due also?

PPS: Does it need USB 2.0 (as I have that)

Delay, delay, delay.

I don't own one but you only get a certain amount of time to return a unit... so why buy something that doesn't work - the price ain't gonna go up, no need to rush it!

My instincts tell me to delay,
But my heart tells me to buy after demoing one, and losing an hour.

Having said that all the Virus TI's are sold out in the UK and I'm on a waiting list so the decision is made for me!

I may wait a bit longer, until there are a few more software updates and positive feedback

If you don't own an access virus already, then I would dive right in. I got mine on the first day of release and I'm still lovin' it. This is an awesome synth. All the gripes and moans I read on this and other forums, pale into insignificance every time I dial up a new patch and start tweaking.

However, if you already own an access virus, and you are simply looking to upgrade, and / or are hoping the total integration aspect is the most important... well, you MIGHT (depending on hardware issues etc) find yourself in the position of being yet another Access public beta tester - which could be fun in itself, if you've got no deadlines to meet. Remember though, it's all working fine for a lot of happy people.

I am amazed at how responsive Access are to fixing bugs, and I would imagine there will be new updates on a fortnightly basis until they get this whole TI thing sorted out. This forum and the ampfea mailing list are an incredible resource that Access employees and their committed bunch of beta testers read (and respond to) on a regular basis. Don't wait for everyone on this forum to stop complaining though. There will always be issues with technology.

Just my two pence worth.

hey girl next door,

are you using 2.8 gig cpu computer with 1 gig ram, and are you using powercore or something like that.

maybe you are using waves plug-ins to get such good production.

i am wondering if my 2.8 cpu and 1 gig ram will handle alot of plug-ins, and i might have to get UAD or POWERCORE.

also is the TI working well with usb audio

Buy it!!

None of the TI hardware is going to change over time, only the software will! Whats the point of keeping your money if you only going to buy it latter? If your lucky you may find a shop that has it in stock, I think i got the last one in the UK though :D

Check out Top of the Pops this week, you may see me on it with my Polar
