Program Change support (again), Patch Management and Automation.

It seams that access really care about us and only want the best for us... and the money :-)

hmm, what's the deal with the Mac Driver now showing up as 'Access Test' instead of 'Access Virus TI' ?

Not that it effects the system at all, but it's a bit unprofessional at this stage...

Well it's out but it?s still not right.
Arps drop out while patch changing!
Adding a new sound to the mix sometimes changes the sound of other sounds in use!
Pops and clicks while changing patches!

Just wondering i'm running on XP sp1, would sp2 make any diffrence?

Even with 1.06 I still see some serious slowdown/lag when using VirusControl and playing back midi parts using Live 5/powerbook. Everthing else seems more stable but I still need to leave VirusControl off to get anything done.

Maybe I am not describing the problem right but it "feels" like the Virus hardware isn't receiving the music data (note on/off, control messges) fast enough.

Sometimes it is playing very slow and behind the rest of the music, but then speeds up in parts like it is trying to catch up. A lot of times after hitting stop in Live the virus will keep playing notes for several seconds even though everything else has stopped playing.

I'll post a couple of audio files and an example Live 5 set on my website in a bit that hopefully better demonstrates what I am hearing. I swear I am not making this up :)

EDIT:
I created a web page with sample audio files and the Live Set that I used to demonstrate the issues. I'd be curious if other mac/live users see the same issues or if it is just something about my setup that is causing it: http://www.snarkydog.com/virus/

Some other things I have noticed:
* Using any midi control data during playback (like modulation or panning) seems to make the problem much worse.
* Problem seems to go away when I turn off VirusControl and just use Midi over USB to the virus. The same midi data plays back fine.
* Also I did try the same Live set on my work laptop (Windows XP) and that appears to play back fine.

I guess the simple solution would be to get a windows desktop for music, but not sure if I am ready for that kind of switch.

the TI is trying to improve your track by adding some triplets :-)

i actually think that sounds like a really cool effect :)

but im sure it gets annoying when its unintended...how bout onces access fix it they leave in a toggle to revert back to 'classic arp' mode....for that nice effect :)

have a nice day
