just reposting this as a separate topic to save a lot of you the trouble of having to read through my other posts.
Essentially I am trying to find out if a specific sound doesn't get recalled right in cubase (as other sounds get recalled fine)
The sound is ROM-A 098 Syrys BC
1. Create a new song in cubase
2. Load the virus TI virus control in cubase
3. Create a midi track in cubase and assign the output port to the virus TI (virus control port)
4. Load up the sound Syrys BC - found under Rom A 098
5. Create a 4 bar loop (mine was at 120bpm) and just record a quick loop using the Syrys BC sound, no need to make tweaks to the sound.
6. Playback the song and make sure it sounds fine.
7. Save the song, close the song and then reopen the song in cubase.
8. Hit play - Does the Syrys BC patch sound the same as it did when you recorded it - on mine it sounds all detuned and distorted.
