Just found this on the Sonicstate site.

Not a heap of detail, but bloody weird all the same.

http://www.csl.sony.co.jp/IL/projects/blockjam/downloads/BlockJam_0.mov

It's a movie link - about 6meg.

Wow. Tetris-clone-musical-highly-technical-thingy! _great_ fun i bet.

This is a thing every music-intrested parents should have i guess.. Sitt down with your kids and let them play with those blocks.. creating all new types of sounds.

How does it acctually work thou? does it trigger samples or are they generated by the blocks themself? I'd love to know more about this.

Yeah it does seem a little random, although once you figured it out completely, it would fall into a loop player catorgory.

Not sure what it's triggering, but as it's PC linked it could trigger anything (in theory).

Not sure if I'd use it, but it would be a cool thing for the kid.

you can set them to triger musical phrases(pre recorded samples) or triger midi sequences sent to midi machines.

I'd love to get one of those (if they were cheap) to my kid.. It would be a great way for her to build her own loops with small samples from my music and then hopefully would become intrested in music

oh so its a girl

i belive this came as a solution to the very well known problem of performers being too wasted on Shrooms to play the their gear so... now with this new technology its almost impossible for them them not to fuck up :D and if they do they can say its expiriemtal music!

Indeed it is Tomer.. Or well.. 90% certain that it will be a girl.. but the doctor couldn't be 100% sure since she/he was moving around so much.

accualy babies can accualy move according to beat at around 8 months old when the song is played over and over again.
not only that but the new born can change mood when hearing that same music, sound or rythem when his a few months old.
it was proven that memory starts even before the accual birth.
care to do a bit of human testing for use sebastian?
