Hey folks,

I wrote an essay to offer to people who are finding it hard to develop an individual style of music. Hopefully someone will find it useful.

All feedback is welcome.

Hope you like it!

That's pretty useful, I reakon the important part of making commercially successful tunes is knowing what your audience are after and building your tune with that in mind (easier said than done).

Looking at some of the successful groups / artists tunes you see they've captured the "moment" and connected with people, e.g. Prodigy - "Music for the Jilted Generation".

the hardest thing is to make music that lasts forever.
a cd that you can listen to in 10 years and say... damn ,wasnt this recorded just few weeks ago?
its very hard to do in electronic music and i think prodigy were not that successful in achiving that.
massive attack almost got it right. :)
