Virus Poco and Virus TI sounds different on Virusb-Soundset

Hello,

i thought Virus Powercore and VirusTI sound the same on Virusb Soundsets - but on some Patches they Sound different.

this is QvsVirus2 from the free Soundset Trancesource2001 from Manuel Schleis for Virusb:

i used Cubase SX 3.1 (latest Version) with only Virus Poco / Virus TI (no other Plugins like EQ etc.)

in what why do the sound different? is it a 'sound quality' difference, or does the patch sound different altogether?

listening to the two clips, sounds like the Ti version has at least 1 oscillator transposed an octave up. have you checked for a difference in the patch structure?

it is not an all patches

when i load the patch powercore (same soundset) they sound the same.
when i load qvsvirus or DnceNation they sound different :(

The first thing I noticed was the higher octave in one oscillator on the TI demo, too.

hmm the "Semitone" in osc 1 / 2 / 3 are the same

poco 0 / 0 / 12
TI 0 / 0 / 12

"detune" is also the same in osc 2/3

Are you sure it's QvsVirus and not QvsVirus2? The first one plays the same on both for me.

The other patches sound different because the Ringmod on the Powercore isn't right (Access have been notified).

The patch sounds correct on the TI.

when i set the ringmod to 0 on the poco the sound is almost the same as on the virus ti :)

so it is no problem :)
