Yes. You need a midi interface to connect the Virus C to your computer.

Big questions!

Lucky the internet is a good resource for people just starting out. Alot of people go to the tweakheads site to start with. Try there for some good info.

Good luck!

:)

Edit: I just realised your Audiophile 24/96 has MIDI I/O. You may not need to buy a seperate MIDI interface (Although it might make life easier). You will however, need to be able to monitor the audio outs of your virus. This can be achieved with a small format mixer, connected to a set of monitors.

How about listing your complete setup/resources?

I work on Mac, so Im not sure about the PC world (I assume you are on PC)

I remember I had issues adding the patch scripts when jumping from SX to SX2. There was a new Steinberg folder. Find this and then put the scripts in this new "Patch Scripts folder".

Then when you add the device, it should show up with all the patch names

Good luck!

It?ll work as soon as you in Cubase choose the MIDI port your Virus is connected to. When sequensing i always work in multisingle mode. Just create a multi on my Virus with the same name as the project you?r working on and then select the patches you want to use directly on the Virus (don?t forget to save the multi  ). Now all you have to do is choose the MIDI channel in Cubase that you want the track to play and voila...
I haven?t set my Virus up in Cubase since i program some of my patches myself. It would be too messy for me if i had to change the patchnames in Cubase every time i create a new patch on my Virus :?

Im not sure whats going on... my only suggestion is asking the question over at the Cubase forum. You might have more luck there, there are some Cubase pros lurking around.

Good luck!
