Just want to know if this is an issue with my TI desktop only.

It occasionally starts making an unbearable hiss and responds to nothing even to switching off.

Anybody else having this problem? What could be the cause/solution?

You actually mean a hiss or more of a digital screech?

That will be the problem then - one of them fluffy duracell bunnies must have crept inside...

You will need to take it apart, let the bunny escape - should be fine after that.

Yeah, even to attempts to turn it off. Unless I unplug it.

Strange behavior indeed. Have you had any response yet from the Access mailing list or any other forums yet?

been too busy trying to manage with settings in cubase, dumping, etc.

As for the sound, yes, "hiss" was a wrong word. This is digitally sounding screech.

Access have just said I should update from 1.07 ro 1.09. As it was finally possible (breaking dl near 20MB) I have done it. Maybe this will change.

Sounds like the DSP crash issue some have had? I think people have had less of them with OS1.09

Id love to know what causes a DSP to crash. I used to find the snap and crackles between certain patch changes with the KC disconcerting enough....I have *really* sensitive hearing and I have to put my fingers up to my ears when i see a kid trying to eat a balloon outside McDonalds....

If its a 'screech ' its an access Ti ' deliberate - lets release the ti early and get some cashflow in ' mistake . . . designed to eventually put them out of business and irritate Ti users to a point of dispare .If its a click it maybe just one of the faulty units in circulation you have . . . no one is really sure , ive heard a few people say that the digital drop outs and screeching and speaker blowing noises are part of a deliberate ' glitch ' patch bank .Others say the fact the 99% if Tis cant be used well in multi mode or with usb means its due to immoral and greedy businessmen who seen just want you cash .They basically bolted the Ti together and started flogging it and dont seem to have actually tested the Usb.Nice work access , always good to be reminded of what the arse end of human nature is - 'greed and selfishness' .Well done Access
