:( can anyone tell me how i can apply e.q to all different parts in virus control as i can with different parts of battery?
in battery or albino i can open sevral instances of my soft synth and have e.q on every part but when i try this with the virus all parts are e.q'd whats going on..i thought this virus control software was top notch?
all i wanna do is get on with making tracks but im hampered by all sorts of bugs..
so anyway when i draw in some e.q in cubase all parts are e.q'd also when i try to name my own presets and double click in virus control and start typing it wont work...whatever button i type gives a command in cubase instead like deleting a track.or something...any ideas welcome

Virus Control is not a soft synth, its just an interface to the Virus TI hardware, so you can only have one instance of it loaded, as you only have one Virus TI synth.
As with other hardware synths, then all parts send their audio out through whichever output combination you selected for the part:
- Analog outs 1, 2 or 3 and/or
- USB outs 1 and 2.
If you are only using USB audio, then that basically gives you 2 pairs of outputs - if thinking in Cubase soft synth terms, think of 16 instances of battery bussed into a group, and you can only apply in-Cubase fx to the group channel.
If you want to apply part specific fx, then apply the FX on the TI itself, or as is more usual, bounce the part to an audio track so you can process it individually.
Basically solo it (mute the other TI parts) and record each to an audio track.
Is this your first hardware synth? If so - hardware synths have alot of advantages, but also come with some limitations relative to soft synths that you have to learn to live with if you want to use it multi-timbrally - this basically means you have to bounce to audio to separate out the parts for processing.

yes i see see what you mean mate..do you mean use the virus internal e.q for processing?
not my first hardware synth i have a roland mc909,yamaha sy85 and a roland jv2080 and roland w30.
im just new to the virus thats all...guess i was expecting miracles..
i use bounce down all the time in cubase however when i exported a few bars it all went pear shaped.
it only works in time if i real time export in 16 bit

Of course it only works in realtime, remember, the synth itse;f makes the sound, not the plug in.
It should work at 24bit realtime renders too, I do this all the time with no problems. What happens when you do 24bit?

 timing is all over the place unless i export at 16 bit, however im going to change my audio card and buffer settings then set cubase to record at 24bit and see what happens then..
