when I close the sequencer after using VC, I can't use my VTI anymore (neither in single, nor mutli or seq. mode)... do you experience the same? after rebooting it, it works again...

This isn't ever a problem for me. What set up you got?

Me neither.

I tend to suffer the opposite - some issue with the TI sometimes means rebooting it while it connected to Cubase - while VC seems to cope with this just fine, Cubase dies a slow and painful death.

The TI isnt the only synth where I somtimes have to do this, but as its deeply connected in as a soft synth rather than just audio and midi, then the end result is rather more painful...

One thing to check - press the config button on the TI, find local control, and crank it to off then back to on again, just in case local control didnt get switched back on again. (Again - Ive not had this happen either).

Do post what DAW/System you are using it with.

I have Cubase SX 3 with the newest update... Do you think the Dongle affects the Virus Integration?

I suppose your "Local" option refers to the keyboard version, I have the desktop one ;-)

Aah, I have the Keyboard as well.

I don't think the dongle affects the TI, again mine doesn't.

Although I have heard that it is advisable to ensure the USB port is not being shared by any other devices. THis is supposed to make a big difference (although I'm sure you're aware as I've seen you posting on the A-list Virus forum)...

Does it not also affect the knobs?

I allways switch local back on as soon as SX starts, so wouldnt notice either way.

Khazul: Why are you doing that?

I don't quite understand what you mean with "affecting knobs". I can swich presets, the knobs work as well, I see them changing parameters etc. But when soon as I play the keyboard, I don't see the "note" flashing in the right top of the display, and the audiorate is still "locked to host" (in the config page)... apparently VC doesn't reset the virus into normal mode... noone here experiencing the same thing? should I write access?

Khazul, Local is for the keys only, I think. You can still twist the knobs when Local is off and is connected to VC, just like you can on the desktop, only difference is with Local off, when you play a key on the keyboard it plays via the selected MIDI channel in the VST host.

Dr Orange, I would. I think any problems like this should be reported.

Personally, when I close SX3, my TI returns to its normal state, Local is turned on and there are no hangovers from being linked to VC, such as the Sample rate being locked like you report.

I am running a P4 2.8GHz (HT), ACPI, XP professional (sp2), with Asus mobo, RME HDSP 9632, Virus TI keyboard with 1.09 installed.
