View Full Version : 2 OS's for Virus TI?

I wonder if there would be any basis for two OS's for the Virus TI?

1. For people that are NOT using the USB/VST (i.e. MIDI only).
2. For people that ARE using the USB/VST (i.e. TI portion)

The reason is, maybe there would be less problems if there was a distinction. I wouldn't know, I am not an Access developer...

Personally, I could care less for the TI bit... I use it as it was one of the older Viruses (A, B or C)... :D

Hey, don't hurt to pose the question, right?

I agree, they could release the firmware seperately.

Can't you still use the TI's own control for its SoundDiver-like graphic patch editing on the TI?

... And then use standard midi and audio cables to hook up the business part?

Looks like they have years of development ahead of them in the innovation and development the TI, that's after they get the first version stable.

I'd like to see every part of the 'integration' optional, ie one OS with toggle switches for all the functions. Like 'sync to host' when you plug in the USB you loose control of the frequency. I'd like to not have the Asio running. I'd like to tell the TI to sync to my RME while I use VC.

And all the rest of the things that were promised.

Definately agree with that.

And I want the external midi port left connected to the synth engine and keyboard/controls still when VC is active (as I quite like VC as a patch manager and editor) :)
