Interresting.
I have lousy midi timing with my EMU1820M...
I might get that instead.
Curious to know how the drivers are using a pc tho...

MADSTATION, stay where you are!
I compared the 1820m, RME Multiface (Version 1) and MOTU 828mk2 extensively in a shop with the same monitors I'm used to (HR824).

I've written a long review on another forum, I hope you understand when I only wanna write my short results here so that I don't have to rewrite the whole thing:

Differences are less subtle than I expected, first, you rather feel them, but soon you can name the differences...

The Multiface sounded the fattest, thats because it somehow "gates" the high frequencies... I don't like that effect because it's not transparent
First, I wanted to go fot the 828mk2, but listening to it, I was shocked: The worst resolution of all the three devices. Stand alone functionality on the other hand....
1820m kicks butt! Not as fatt as the multiface, but the most transparent sound with the best resolution of them all.

Latencies, hmm, I am between 2 and 20 msec, depending on the project (CPU consumption)

Thanks for the tips ;)
I'll try to get my setup more stable then before investing some more into hardware!
