I have noticed that the Pops and Clicks sounds are happening to alot of people but only with me on presets i do with drum kicks and snares and Hihats......I notice if you play with the EQ parameters they are at there worst but i don't know if the pops and clicks are being magnified or it is coming from the EQ itself..if any of you ti owners want to test this here are some patches to test...

I have also told Access about this and sent them the same Patches

What do ya mean???
This happened to me too! Plus digital noize on the audio outputs in stand alone mode...
Bought a brand new TI keyboard a month ago and discovered those probs...wrote to access support who confirmed that was a problem and recommended to send it back. So all in all I've had my Virus for 2 days only and now I've been waiting for a month to get a new one...I'm VERY ANGRY about access SALES/WARRANTY POLICY
The technical support is cool and try to help but when it turns into warranty and replacement of the unit, there's absolutely nobody at the end of the line...Never seen that from any manufacturer for 18 years, that's unbeleivable!!!
Neither the shop where I bought the Virus Nor the french distrubutor are able to tell me when I'll get a new one! And recommended to contact ACCESS directly because ACCESS does not give any info to the resalers.
I think If I don't receive a new one within 2 weeks from now, I'll ask the shop to refund my money...Been a loyal supporter of Access for years and I've always been happy with my Virus B, but enough is enough...
Anybody got the same probs/delay with unit replacement?
The units are pretty much sold out everywhere and have been since the official release last year, so its going to be hard to source another until more are manufactured....they cant give what they dont have :)
I recently sold my TI keyboard and got a Polar version but I had to wait 5 weeks for the Polar to come into stock, and that was from the official UK supplier who have a good amount of units sent to them regualy.

Are you using the usb outs? I hopw it is just in the drivers and will be fixed with 1.1.
No telling though. I still manage to get them with the analog outs when playing an 8 note chord or higher on certain patches.

2 things it can be...
1. You're low on memory when recording.
2. You need a new sound card.
Use your headphones to check if it's your computer area first.

Same here - dropping the patch level fixes it for me. The TI currently has no soft clip or limiter so these are likely digital sample value overflow crankles.

I had all sorts of problems with crackles and digital breakups with a EMU 404 card. I then bought a EMU 1820M as I needed more inputs and it all dissapeared. I still have issues when using USB and VC with stuck arps and the like but when using straight midi into the sound card things are pretty much ok now.

Perhaps there is something wrong with the Virus' audio interface....the soundcard aspect of the TI? But at the end of the day who knows.....so many variables come into play when you hook up synths to computers....I remember a day when synths were used for music making.

if I use my TI through USB then is there any need for another soundcard. Does my PC not just crunch the numbers? Skint myself a little buying the synth (but I could pick it up that day :) ) and I don't really want to buy something I don't need. I notice some clicks etc but I seem to clear them with lowering volumes etc.
I have no problems recording my other gear track at a time through the TI (Beats my soundblaster and on board sound)
Any advice folks?
Kris
If the audio interface of your TI works well, then you don't need another audio card?! It depends what you want you want to do with you computer and external harware configuration (additional synths, etc).
Now that Access unveiled the new 1.1 update, maybe we'll all have a chance to do something with our Viruses. let's hope mine will come back soon from warranty exchange...cross my fingers
