Hi Guys,

How can I disable arp SENDs from cubase SX 3?

For example, I want to disable arp for ROM-L #64 arp sends to Cubase within my TI.

Many thanks in advance..

Create a track that records your Virus?s MIDI out and hit record. Then turn off the arp. This way you record a sysex message that turn off the arp. Make sure that Cubase is not filtering sysex...

Is there a way to TURN ARP OFF under Key Editor -->COntrollers Menu?
Which controller controls ARP messages ON/OFF?

Thanks for your help!

Just checked to be sure. It?s not a sysex message but poly pressure C#-2 (controls the arp mode). If you set it to 0 the arp is turned off. Don?t know why i wrote that it was a sysex message. I must remember wrong :?

Poly pressure is polyphonic aftertouch (individual aftertouch per key) but since the Virus doesn?t support this they decided to use these as aditional controllers in the same way as continous controllers (CC). In cubase you can in the controller lane chose poly pressure and a menu is shown where you can chose the key. When nothing is recorded you can?t really chose any (or at least i don?t know how) but if you record a poly pressure message you can chose it. Just hit record and change the parameter you want to control (in this case turn the arp off or change the arp mode). Afterwards the key will apear in the aditional drop down menu when you chose poly pressure.

poly pressure C#-2

No, it?s the note C#-2 (the first C# below the middle C). It is meant to be used as aftertouch for only one note (thereby the name poly pressure or polyphonic aftertouch) in this case C#-2 but since the Virus doesn?t support polyphonic aftertouch (only channel pressure or more popular "aftertouch") Access decided to use it as additional controllers in the same way as CC?s...
