Just for fun, I composed/recorded a brief composition using ONLY a TI Polar synth. This is simply a stereo recording of a Polar in sequencer mode, with no other effects used (except a touch of Masterworks limiter in Digital Performer). I used the stereo analog outs of the Polar, running through a Mackie 1202 mixer, into an M-Audio USB Duo interface, and then into my iMac. Exported as a 128-bit MP3.

There are quite a few examples of what the TI can do with dance/trance music, obviously, so I figured I'd try something rather different, going back to my prog-rock/pop roots. Enjoy!

while not my style of music, you did a great job demoing the flexability of the TI, as well as sounding quite moogy!!!! Nice job! 8)

were the drums done on the TI as well?

Yes, it is all TI. Thanks.

That isn't my "current" style of music either, but I thought I'd have some fun with the moogy and FM sounds. But perhaps my age is showing a bit too. :)

Some cool leads and that Organ sound at the was great!

Always nice to hear a Virus playing something other than a detuned saw.

Excellent demo for sure. You should send this to Access, I bet that they'd would love to hear something else than detuned saw-pads/arpeggios.

It sounds like a 80ies 'action movie - love scene demo'.

Great demo....excellant sounds. Send it to Access if you havent done so already. Probably the best demo ive heard.....and it will appeal to those looking for more 'classic/vintage' sounds.

OT .....does anyone want to hear a demo i made on my DX7? Ive made some great sounds on it recently...

Keep up the good work

Wow - very very nice :)

You should post it to the harmony central keys forum - to convince the nord fans that the virus ti is rather more than the "instant gratification trance synth" they usually label it as ;)

Hehe - I was a rush fan in my teens - guess that makes em an old git :)

As for the sound - Toto or Foreigner came to mind after the porno scene bit :)

Virus A....no wonder it sounds great.....I am begining to loose faith in post 2000, synth technology.......(cliche as far as your concerned) just seems like more $$$ spent on marketing beta products to the public, than making hardware that is rock solid!

when I listen to my favorite music, I am reminded that.....Nord/virus as others had some of the best analog modeling stuff in the 90's.......nothing has realy changed. I had hoped for the second comming of christ with the TI......But it sure was/is not walking on water
