Loading Sound Sets

i'm looking for a way to load external sound sets (*.mid files) with out using the VC
maybe through a midi channel in the cubase or something like that ...
someone maybe know how to do that ?

im guessing you havent even opened the manual ah?

anyway,
just load up the midi file to your sequencer software,set it to the correct midi channel and play it in 50-60 bpm
you will see the virus "thinking" and when its done it will ask you on what user bank would you like to store it,
you choose A or B or.... and press the Store button.

i have my ti for 5 months now and i have no experience working with my ti without the VC
for a matter of fact until a week ago i was using it only with usb cable
and i didn't understand why everything sound like shit !!!!
i feel like i bought a new synth now
so I'm learning

its not working at all
i open the cubase and i did file --->import midi file ---->set in :all midi inputs ---->set out :virus ti synth or virus ti midi
than i changed the tempo to 50 bpm and i pressed play
nothing happened ?!

You should use your audiocard's midi out if your not connected via USB

the TI is connected with USB and i see on the midi channel output the "virus ti synth or virus ti midi"

i found the problem :
you have to hit config --->receive midi dump---->receive dump(default =enable)---->change it to ram destination ,that's it . :lol:

Sorry, I misunderstood you - when you said "working with my ti without the VC" I thought you meant you had unplugged the USB and were using MIDI - I was about to ask why you still had Virus synth etc in your connection settings - that explains it.

Somebody be my captain obvious and tell me how to load soundsets using the virus control? I cant find a thing about it in the manual. Is it even possible?

merlot this one is very easy ....
if you're working with windows the *.mid file should be in MY DOCUMENT --->ACCESS MUSIC ----->VIRUS TI ---->PATCHES.
that's where all the sound set for the VC is stored except the ROM and the ram of course.

yep, it is in ~/application support/access folder on a mac for anyone else who wants to know.
