Cool! What brand/model is it? And....is that your pic, or from the seller?

Just wandering about the PPG wave actually :)

Its a early Soundcraft

That's the seller's pic. He is selling the PPG Wave as well

He's also selling a rackmount BBE Sonic Maximiser which I'm seriously considering. The price is right but is it worth owning one is the question?

So...

How much did you end up grabbing it for Gopal?

I paid $400 NZ for the desk ($200 Euro roughly)

and he wants $300 NZ for the BBE Sonic Maximiser (rackmount version)

Very very tempting.

That's not too bad a price at all - specially if everything is working well on the thing.

I thought it looked like a Soundcraft! Just the colours made it look like one!

I lost a 24 channel delta desk by Soundcraft in a flood. It sounded fantastic... Ended up getting ?3,200 for that and a Yammy sampler from the Insurance company.

I seriously doubt it will sell in NZ but you never know.

Are those PPGs REALLY rare or did they just cost a fortune new?

Cor blimey, never let nostalgia get hold of your bank book !
I've flogged the last of my 80's kit now, it looks like I've made a small profit too, but it doesn't take into account restoring and looking after some of these dinosours.
Just try and get hold of a second voice/cpu card for a Technos Axcel !!!

I had a full PPG Waveterm system in the early nineties, I saw Depeche Mode with one and thought 'I'll have a crack at that".
Anyhow it ended up sitting in the corner with the Linn 9000 and Studio 440, like the three witches in Macbeth.
I'm a firm believer in less-is-more now.
